Homework

In the foundation phase we take homework very seriously and the primary purpose of homework is to practise and consolidate the work done in the classroom. A secondary purpose is to develop responsibility and good learning habits in the learners.

  1. Homework is given on a daily basis.
  2. A period of 20-30 minutes must be set aside daily for the completion of homework.
  3. Parents must be involved in the completion of homework and must assume ultimate responsibility for the checking of homework, regardless of whether it has been done at aftercare.
  4. Homework books and reading cards must be checked and signed daily. Homework books are used as a communication method between parents and the school.
